Food Labelling

Once a food list has been created a nutritional label is easily produced.  This feature is particularly useful for comparing food products.  An example nutritional label is shown below and additional nutrients can be added if required.

New in Version 2 is the option to export nutritional labels to Word.  With this option it is also possible to generate nutritional guidelines, an ingredients list and a ‘signpost’ label.   The criteria for the ‘signpost’ label are as quoted by the FSA. This feature has been included to help pupils create packaging for their food products and additional help is given via the Worksheets Menu. Signpost labels clarify high, medium and low levels of key nutrients and further simplify comparison of food products.
